Jennifer Aniston heaped praise on her ‘good friend’ Adam Sandler as she honoured him with the People’s Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday.
Dressed in a mini black dress, the Friends star introduced the iconic comedian with her heartfelt speech onstage.
Aniston said, “Tonight, I am here to recognize my very good friend. My brother from another mother.”
She added, “And extraordinary father, husband and one of the most loyal friends you could ever, ever, have. The People’s Icon, Adam Sandler!”
The Murder Mystery actress jokingly asked Sandler to sit down for a while on his seat as she paid tribute to his career’s incredible milestones.
The 55-year-old Hollywood diva said, “And yet in all of this extraordinary success, he has stuck to his roots; he’s never strayed from the friends he’s had for 35 years and counting.”
Aniston further shared it is one of the great joys of her life to be Sandler’s friend.
She continued, “I’m proud to honour tonight, and I’d happily keep honouring him for decades and decades to come because he deserves all the love in the world.”
Aniston and Sandler first appeared on screen together in the 2011 film Just Go With It. The duo reunited for Netflix’s project Murder Mystery in 2019.
